Two Agewell courses for anyone interested in improving posture, learning to relax, developing and maintaining core strength and flexibility and using their breath effectively to enhance health and well-being.

This class is done at a gentle to moderate pace using music. It will cover low impact aerobics to help strengthen the heart and lungs, improve the blood circulation, and includes some aerobic choreography to help improve coordination. Some balance and strength exercises using light to medium dumbbells to increase muscle tone and improve posture and balance followed by some core strength mat exercise and finishes with a flexibility stretch to cool down.
Anyone who enjoys exercising to music and wants to improve their overall fitness and health by starting with some low impact, gentle to moderate exercise.
There are no pre-requirements for this course.
You should be able to better coordinate your body and follow instructions and movements in different plans of direction will be imporoved. You will gain the knowledge and understanding of the correct form and technique to use for strength training exercises and exercises that work the different muscle groups in your body. Be able to follow mat based core strength exercise.
The course is for one hour a week and includes- 10 minutes of mobility and pulse raising warm up exercises, 15 minutes of aerobics choreography, 5 minutes of balance, 15 minutes of strength training, 8 minutes of functional and core strength exercises and 7 minutes of cool down stretches.
Your general fitness and strength will improve through home practice.
Each learner is required to self assess alongside their tutor.
The course should inspire you to take on regular exercise.
Just wear loose fitting comfortable clothing, comfortable shoes and bring water to drink to keep hydrated.
