Yoga practices to help sustain joint mobility, to strengthen core support muscles and improve general flexibility. Breathing practices to encourage efficient breathing and to calm the mind and relax the body. Yoga relaxation techniques
A basic Yoga experience for people who find it difficult to join a mainstream class because of limited mobility. All movements will be conducted from either seated or standing base positions. Yoga offers a gentle approach to improve posture, stamina and flexibility, whilst encouraging better breathing and techniques to calm the mind and relax the body.
The course is suitable for people with little or no previous experience of yoga, or anyone with limited mobility. You will need to have an open mind and be willing to try out new ways of working towards greater mobility and better health.
- Perform basic yoga postures and breathing exercises from your chair. - Carry out a basic yoga routine to work with on your own. - Identify tension hot-spots in the body and apply suitable corrections. - Demonstrate breathing techniques to quieten the mind and relax the body.
This is a live online course. You will need: - Internet connection. - A computer with microphone and camera or a tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone if you don't have a computer. -Basic internet experience. We will contact you with joining instructions before your course starts The tutor will demonstrate and give verbal explanations throughout the class. There will be opportunities to ask questions and options for practising on your own

There are no other costs. A quiet space, a comfortable firm upright chair, and loose, comfortable clothing are essential, along with basic internet skills to allow you to join the class.
