Who is this course for?

For children aged 6+ Find out how to make use of old jewellery by giving them a new lease of life. Have fun with pair beads and transform them into something original and sustainable.

What skills, knowledge or experience do I need to start this course?

No previous experience is necessary. The course is designed for beginners and intermediate learners. You can develop your skills further by enrolling for more than one course.

What should I be able to do by the end of the course?

Make simple unique items of jewellery using a variety of methods. Learn about the use of colour, line and texture in jewellery making. Explore different methods of making jewellery by using recycled materials

What extra study or practice is expected outside of the class?

You can continue making jewellery after the class or teach other members of your family or community. If you wanted to you could look at you-tube video tutorials, look up jewellery designers and books for inspiration

How will my progress be assessed?

One to one verbal feedback and group discussions

What can I expect to go on to after this course?

Continue with this class to learn more or move to higher level courses in jewellery.
