Online piano lessons via Zoom

Arts, Crafts & Performing Arts

18 June 2020

The last few months has been a difficult time for everyone, following the outbreak of COVID-19. We were forced to shut all of our Adult learning premises and close all of our face to face classes. However, after a monumental effort on behalf of our staff working remotely from home, we continued to offer over half of our classes on-line, ensuring that many of our learners continued to enjoy their classes albeit as a different experience from a distance.

Here is what our piano tutor, Jack Burnaby says of his experience:

We started using Zoom the week before the lockdown and it has proved very popular – learners have discovered having piano lessons online brings several advantages.

  • Zoom lets you record your lessons if you wish to.
  • You’re in the comfort of your own home with your own piano.
  • You have some flexibility with lesson times/days.
  • No travelling to and from the Macbeth Centre and no travel costs either!
