You will practise and improve your English skills, gain confidence and develop awareness of how to support your children at school.
A mixed level ESOL class for parents who don't speak English as a first language to gain confidence and learn how to support their children at school. ESOL courses are for people who plan to live in the UK permanently and who are working here or actively seeking work here. PLEASE NOTE Our ESOL courses are government funded. By enrolling onto an ESOL course you agree to attend all your classes on time or you may lose your place and not be offered another course in the future.
A very basic knowledge of English so that you can start communicating with others. This course is not suitable for learners with no English who need a Pre-Entry class.
You should have improved your English skills, gained confidence and developed awareness of how to support your children at school.
Weekly sessions at Old Oak Family Hub.
You will make more progress by watching TV, listening to the radio, podcasts and videos and also speaking to others. You may get homework from the teacher too.
By your tutor.
You could join an accredited ESOL course with us to build your skills further and gain a qualification.
There may be a charge for your class but most learners on benefits or a low income are funded by the government and do not pay.
Your tutor can support you.
