Preparation for work
These courses consist of the Employability Skills and Hospitality and Catering projects and are ideal for people who have a realistic expectation of moving into paid work and would like to gain some experience of employment. It is strongly suggested that learners attend Personal Development or similar courses before enrolling. Learners will hopefully progress into work, further work based programmes or advanced courses.
These courses are ideal for people who can commit to a long-term learning programme and happy to work independently. Learners select a tailor-made learning package from a range of classes, to help build skills for personal development and independent living.
The All Welcome level courses focus on developing personal and social skills to enhance learning and life and are an ideal starting point for learners who are new to college, have severe learning difficulties or disabilities, struggle with long periods of commitment or have taken a long break from education.
Inclusive/Advanced courses are suitable for people with learning difficulties and disabilities as well as new learners to the subject area. Classes include: Inclusive Gardening, Art, Cookery, Jewellery and Pottery.
All Special Educational Needs courses require an interview before enrolling.
For a full programme of courses available, you can download our prospectus or ask in reception for a copy.
