The NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) qualification (QRN: 610/4164/6). This qualification sets the standards that all early years practitioners must meet to ensure that they are able to support and promote children’s early education and that children develop appropriately taking care to see that they are kept safe and healthy. The course promotes teaching and learning to make sure that children have the skills they need to start school with a broad range of knowledge. The CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) training course and subsequent qualification will enable you to enjoy a childcare work in partnership with colleagues, parents/carers or other professionals
This course is aimed at anyone considering a career in working with children from birth to reception class age.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but we would expect you to have substantial experience of working in an Early Years environment, or a relevant Level 2 qualification, before embarking on this course. You will need to have a good command of basic English, be at least 16 years of age, and be working or volunteering in a relevant childcare setting or settings

Classroom teaching at set times to study the theory element One-to-one tutorials as required. Research activities
Homework will be set by your tutor. Assignments as set by NCFE-CACHE will need to be researched and submitted by deadline dates as set by the tutor. Set aside minimum 8 hours a week for study and complete assignments. You will be required to attend placement covering the following age range 0-5years. The total placement hours required is 350hours
A portfolio task has to be completed for all of the units. The portfolio tasks are set by CACHE and internally marked Individual Learning Plan This course requires you to have a regular work placement in an appropriate childcare setting or settings. Your assessor will visit you at the setting to observe your practice minimum 2 times. You will also be required to have professional discussions.
On completion of your NCFECACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) qualification, which has been assigned 65 credits on the QCF framework (QRN: 610/4164/6) you will be able to progress onto a foundation degree/higher education. Or once you have your Early Years Educator qualification you will have a full authorization to practice as an Early Years Educator. You will be able to work in the statutory, voluntary or private sectors doing things like: Nursery Nurse/Practitioner, Early Years Practitioner, Nursery Teacher, Home based childcarer, Nanny
All assessment and registration costs are included in the course fee. You are expected to have a current DBS certificate. Writing materials- Pen, Colouring pencils, Rulers Paper and File Aprons and Scissors
Help with literacy or numeracy is available and the ESOL programme offers help for speakers of other languages. Additional support can be provided for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Student support sessions are available at all main centres. Details are available from the guide and from teaching or reception staff.
