Food Studies
I currently run City & Guilds levels 1 and 2 Cake decorating and sugarcraft as well as mixed ability clothes making in the arts department. I'm also planning non-accredited cake decorating, a five-week baking class, and possible a few creative sewing classes.

At school I was lucky to have a good careers lesson, with visitors from the industry coming in to talk to students about careers in hospitality and catering. I instantly loved all the pictures of food I saw - this started me on my path.
Motor Vehicle, Bicycles & Welding
The best bit is the welcome from the tutors, their knowledge, support, friendship, and kindness. I also treasure the friendships and wider support network that has develop across the courses - all levels, backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, ages, and genders.

Despite the range of subjects and facilities the motor vehicle department offers, I'm of the mind that we have more to give and to achieve, especially in the area of working with young people, with the right mix of environment, tutors, and resources.
Agewell
I was always good at fitness from primary school. I swam for my borough, played all the usual sports, and loved gymnastics. By my teens I was training and running; at 16 I started going circuit training; I spent my 20s working and got my head down to studying fitness when I was 28.
Languages & Interpreting
A bus journey one day with two ladies trying to use their Oyster and a short tempered bus driver was the catalyst for starting this course.
