By the end of a "Modern World History: From World War II to Today Part 2" course, you should be able to analyze and understand the key events, political, social, & economic changes, and lasting legacies of the period from World War II to the present. This includes understanding the rise and fall of empires, the Cold War, decolonization, globalization & the emergence of new international organizations. You should be able to critically evaluate historical sources, formulate & support arguments, and connect historical events to contemporary issues.
This is an 11 week course, meeting once a week.
Independent reading/study around historical developments & events.
You will be assessed through various class work and homework activities. The tutor will assist you in setting individual learning targets at the start and will support you as you work towards them through the course.
Modern World History: From World War II to Today Part 3
Please bring along a paper and pen. The tutor will advise on any resources required.
Help with literacy and numeracy is available through the basic education programme. The ESOL programme offers help to speakers of other languages.
