We'll learn to sing a few popular, feel-good songs together, share some laughs, and boost our endorphins.
Unlock the "feel-good" chemicals in your brain! Singing is a fantastic, accessible way to improve lung health, boost memory, and reduce stress. This 3-hour short course offers a friendly introduction to mindful singing, focusing on breathing techniques, posture, and joyous group songs. Led by an experienced tutor, this workshop is tailored for seniors looking to enhance their physical and mental wellbeing in a supportive, inclusive environment. No solos, no auditions—just the joy of creating music together.
We are all about connection and community—no auditions, no need to read music and no singing experience necessary.
By the end of a 3-week, one-hour "Singing for Wellbeing" course, you should be able to feel more comfortable using your voice, understand basic vocal care, and feel the mood-boosting benefits of group singing. The focus is on enjoyment and health rather than professional technique, making it suitable for absolute beginners.
The course is organised over 3 Saturdays. One hour per session.
No formal extra study is strictly required for a "Singing for Wellbeing" course, as these are typically designed for enjoyment and relaxation rather than technical mastery. However, to maximize the wellbeing benefits—such as increased confidence, breath control, and enjoyment—a small amount of outside practice can significantly enhance the experience.
During class activities.
