This course will focus on improving the flexibility of the participant. The course assists on mobilizing and improving the range of motion of all the important muscle groups which contribute to the participant’s ordinary daily activities.
Anyone wishing to improve the range of motion of their muscles.
There are no special skills or experience required. Any individual who is currently able to work out can attend this course. No specific equipment required. The class will take place on a mat.
You will maintain your current range of motion in your joints and even better improve it! Being more flexible can help you out with your ordinary daily activities
The course is run for one-hour per week for 10 weeks. The tutor will revise and move the exercises forward in a structured way week by week. emphasis may be given to exercises for specific conditions should the need arise.
As individuals progress, home exercise is recommended.
Each learner will complete a health questionnaire and an initial assessment from which the tutor will assist you in setting challenging targets for progression within the class. The tutor will assess against the class targets and learners are expected to self assess and reflect on their own progression.
Progression within the class or enrol on any other Agewell course.
The course is subject to the Agewell enrolment fees.Mats and blocks are provided but you may like to bring a towel to lie on.
Help with literacy and numeracy is available through tht basic education programme and the ESOL programme offers help fpr speakers of other languages. Additional support can be provided for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Details are available from the ALSS course guide and from teaching or reception staff.
