Budgeting and Saving: Master Your Money

Saturday 16 May 2026 | 10:30–12:00

Family Learning – Suitable for children aged 7+

Talking about money as a family can feel tricky, but it doesn’t have to be confusing or stressful. This friendly and interactive family learning session is designed to help parents and children learn together how money works and how to make thoughtful choices about spending and saving.

In Budgeting and Saving: Master Your Money, we move away from complex spreadsheets and focus on simple, everyday ideas that make sense for both adults and children. Families will explore where money comes from, what it’s used for, and how to make decisions that match what matters most to them.

Through easy‑to‑understand examples and shared activities, parents and children will learn how to prioritise spending, plan ahead, and still enjoy treats — without worry. The session encourages open conversations about money and helps children build healthy financial habits from an early age.

The goal

Move from “Where did our money go?” to “This is where our money goes.”

Key takeaway

Families will leave with a simple, practical spending plan they can use at home, helping children understand money and parents feel more confident guiding those conversations.
